Sorry for the belated post. For whatever reason it dawned on me that I had never posted about Rach's and my outing to see Josh Groban in concert...and that HAS to be documented :0)

Other than my DSLR giving out on me during the concert (out of a camera for 2 months + $250 repair = major bummer!), the evening out with Rach was SO much fun! Ted Drewe's started us out on the right foot ;0), it was my first time riding the metro in St. Louis and my first real evening out without Alex (I thought I was going to explode ;0)), and Josh Groban was amazing in concert! One funny thing though, Rach and I had picked out a song from his new album ("Hidden Away"), fully anticipating that he'd perform it that night. We listened to it over AND over again until we had it memorized...so that we'd be able to sing along with him at the concert. He never sang it. Oh well. Thanks for the fun times, Rach! :0)

Can I just say that looking through, posting and labeling these pictures did my heart some good? It was important for me to be reminded of the fleeting yet joyful moments that I get to experience on a frequent basis with my family. Oh the joy that those three bring me.

Magnifique.

Many of you know that I have a definite fetish for earrings. Don't believe, scroll down and see for yourself ;0) I decided to combine a few pinterest ideas to come up with this beauty...

Dollar Tree frame + Walmart paint + scrapbook paper + tacks
+ self adhesive letters + picture hanging wire + felt + hot glue.

My favorite part is that I accidentally dotted the U,
with hot glue. Now that's magnifique. Oops.

Couldn't quite figure out how to use the wire (thanks for letting me have some, Martha!) so it's a bit quirky, but it works...and that's what counts :0)

Should I admit that these are just the earrings that can be hung? ;0)

This year we celebrated our family's St. Louis Christmas Eve with our friends, Jaime and Laurie. They were great to join us last minute and we loved sharing the evening with them. We had our typical vichyssoise soup, sparkling cider and jello dessert (like we did last year, but what did I call it? Jello dessert just doesn't do it justice ;0)). We also had crackers, cheeses, tangerines, and baguettes. To finish off the evening the girls helped Brie draft up a note to Santa Claus, leaving little snacks and all.
