I've been tagged.

I've been tagged by Rebecca!
Here are the rules:
1. Go to your pictures.
2. Upload the 4th photo from the 4th folder.
3. Explain the picture.
4. Tag your friends.

(For those who may not know...as far as I understand, when you are "tagged" you follow the instructions given by the person that tagged you and then you "tag" other friends who have blogs.)

As for the explanation of this picture...these are just some little cards that I made for Mother's Day.

Ok, I tag Julie and Meghan S!

Me and the baby's corner...

I am practically nine months pregnant here and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little sweet pea :0)

When oh when will Brie's birthday be?! :0)

So tomorrow is Brie's due date and still no sign of her coming! She's going to pull a fast one on us! I finished student teaching over a week ago, and you'd think I'd be overjoyed to have so much free time on my hands, but I honestly thought I'd go from being busy with student teaching to being busy with a new little bundle of joy! But, the Lord had other plans in mind and I am trying so hard to be productive and to ENJOY having so much down time! Life is funny that way, eh? :0) In any case, I keep praying that she'll come when she needs to and when it's best for her. So we'll see when she wants her birthday to be!!

Sweet Pea!

So I am down to about two weeks now til our sweet pea is due...and I couldn't help but write a few things. First off, Bryan and I are getting SO excited! I officially finish student teaching on Friday, Bryan takes his last CPA exam on Saturday and we're thinking Sunday would make a great birthday! ;0) Plus it is my sister Emily's birthday...so it'd be double the fun! Tonight before Family Home Evening I was laying on the couch with my feet up for a bit. Bry came over and was talking to sweet pea. We started jokingly saying to her, "if you're going to have your birthday on (such and such a date) tap twice..." Of course she didn't respond...she's trying to keep us in suspense...but it was worth a try ;0) Anyway, life is great! Bry and I are staying busy, but feel SO blessed and supported by the Lord!

Settling in and student teaching.

Bry and I have officially moved into my parent's basement apartment. My dad (and Bryan) spent hours and HOURS last week finishing up the kitchen (which is all remodeled and looking great)!! We are excited to be settling into our new home! :0) We still have some unpacking, organizing, and decorating to do, but it's coming along. I'll have to post some pictures when I get a minute.

Today is my first day of student teaching (French) at American Fork High School. Thankfully I will just be observing for the first two weeks, so I get to ease my way into the high school classroom scene. I am nervous for when it's up to me to take over all six classes, but I know that the Lord will bless me with amazing learning and growing experiences...so I need to choose faith instead of fear!

Other than that Bryan and I celebrated our first anniversary last weekend (23 August). It's crazy to think that a year has already passed! We both agree that it has been the best year of our lives and we're so happy to be married!!! :0) We have really enjoyed spending so much time together this summer, and are excited for all the adventures of this fall and especially to welcome our little sweet pea into our family in a few months! Life is great!!

O, Canada! (Verdun, Montreal)

Coming into port in Montreal. It was weird to be coming back, married, pregnant and aboard a ship. But how fun! It was so fun sharing part of my mission with my family and with Bry!!

VERDUN...je m'ennuie de toi! A little walk down memory lane...well 2e avenue where my last mission apartment was. I decided to go up to the apartment and knock and sure enough the current sister missionaries were there for lunch and let me come in for a sec (to see the fridge o' missionaries!) SO FUN! :0)

Here is Bry striking a pose in front of Meme Tartine...an awesome boulangerie/patisserie right around the corner from the missionary apartment. It's a perfect stop for a pastry, pannini, bowl of soup, salade, etc. YUMMY!

O, Canada! (Quebec City)

Quebec City...especially Old Quebec...is so pittoresque and fun to visit! It was GREAT going back to my greenie area! :0)

Peggy's Cove

Bry looking good...one of the formal nights on ship!

Peggy's cove and lighthouse...I guess this is one of the most photographed lighthouses in Northern America. We honestly weren't sure why, but we enjoyed our time in the little town anyway.

Boston, MA!

My first time being to Boston. We had a GREAT time! We blessed out and had overcast/rainy weather so we didn't have to deal with the heat of June. I thought the city was really fun and especially loved the awesome Boston accent and sense of humor! :0)

Wow, it's been awhile!

So the summer is speeding by and I haven't posted anything, so I decided it was time!
Life is great!  Bry is graduated and studying for his upcoming CPA exams.  I am doing a summer school migrant program to finish up my ESL endorsement.  Other than that...we moved at the beginning of June in with Julie and Walt (my AWESOME sister and brother-in-law!) and are loving living with them.  They are our model couple :0)  Also in June my family, Bry and I went on a 12 trip during which we got to visit my mission...that was WONDERFUL!!  About a week ago we took a short trip down to Cedar City for a Stevenson family reunion (Bryan's mom's side of the family).  You can't go wrong spending time with the Stevensons, they are such good, fun, entertaining peole...I love them :0)  Aside from that...we're expecting!!!  Due December 3rd!  We find out next week whether we're having a girl or a boy and are so thrilled at the thought of starting our own little family!  There you have it.  When I get more time I'll post some pictures.  Til then!

Bry has graduated!!!!!! :0)

Bry has officially graduated with a master of accountancy! He has worked so hard to finish up strong and I am grateful for his example to me! It's fun to see pictures of some of the people that were so instrumental in helping him get there.

Almost there!...

Wow, it's already been several weeks since I last posted anything! Gotta love how time flies! Life is going well. We are both trying to endure to the end with school and just have a little bit to go. Bryan has commented how often he has felt the sustaining power of the Lord each day. I think that is a testimony of God's love for us. He wants us to succeed, and is ever willing to help us. Aside from the hustle and bustle of school we have really enjoyed spending time with family AND watching General Conference last weekend. What a blessing to have chosen and inspired leaders to guide us!

French Restaurant---French 101 style :0)

Un Gout de Paris
un restaurant francais

Ch. 5 in my French 101 class was on food. I decided to spruce things up a bit so throughout the unit we had a cooking show, a taste-testing day, and then our final "project" was planning, preparing and carrying out our very own French restaurant. Each student was asked to bring a French food item, write a creative name and description (in French) to put into the menu and then translate the recipe into French for our bilingual cookbook. Anyway, here are some pictures from the restaurant. And I was SO thankful to Bry, Matt and Rach who came in to work in the kitchen. It was great!

Just keeping busy!

So I apologize that we got our blog up and running and then haven't posted anything. C'est la vie, eh? :0) Anyway, life is great! We're keeping nice and busy keeping up with school and such. Bry is definitely putting forth a noble effort to finish out his degree strong! I am proud of him! Things are not nearly as busy for me now that three of my ESL endorsement classes (BEEDE courses) have ended. I of course always have homework I could be working on, but I prefer working on lesson plans and experimenting in the kitchen! But don't you worry, the homework WILL get done...sooner than later :0)

This evening our Relief Society had a book review centered on the Savior. We were supposed to read anything we wanted (books, magazines, articles, etc.) on Christ and then come and share our favorite quotes and testimonies. It was funny because almost everyone ended up sharing from the March 2008 Ensign, and appropriately so. I was thinking how easy and cool it'd be to do a "book review" on the monthly Ensign.

So, there you have it a little update on what's new for us. We hope all is going well for you all as well! :0)

Finally up and running!...

The idea of having a blog has been in the works for quite some time, and our blog is finally up and running! Anyway, we'll do our best to keep it up-to-date and worth visiting!
