Today is my Mom's 60th birthday! I am forever grateful for her and hope someday to be like her...she is an amazing, loving, thoughtful, talented, faithful, spiritual, generous woman.
Happy Birthday, Biscus. We love you!
(23 February - 9 March 2013)
On Elijah's due date my Mom arrived in town. It's always wonderful having her come visit, but especially when we get Mémé all to ourselves :0) We expected that this little man would be late and enjoyed the Mother-Daughter time leading up to his birthday, and I so appreciated her help during and after as well! Some of the highlights of her visit include:
clothes shopping at Target for my birthday (and new French Café Menu board) * going over to Ruth Anne's for a visit * show n' tell of my recent projects * Matt announcing that he & Erin are engaged!! (late, LATE one night ;0) * eating dinner at Panera after my non-stress test * words of wisdom and encouragement * coming downstairs to find Brie asleep on the couch with Mémé (bought us some sleep in time) * Mom loading us up with fun & healthy food from Costco * going to a braid demonstration at Marie's * Taking Mom to Franco's for a pre-birthday dinner * going to story time & loading up on library books ("Ma, There's Nothing to Do Here!") * watching ALF * stopping by the Federhofer Bakery * watching some mormon profile movie clips * Mom making us nutritious and delicious meals * watching Jim Gaffigan clips * foot and back rubs * Mom helping us brainstorm biblical middle names * "pre-birth crew bonding" at the Outlet * adorable ocean/whale quilt for Elijah * tea party with Brie * Mom being there for Elijah's birth * Helping to watch the kiddos while Bry & I were in the hospital * being such a wonderful help with laundry, cooking, shopping, dishes, etc. * Mémé snuggling with her newest little grandson * Mom organizing our over-the-dryer closet! * listening to my very hormonal postpartum self ;0) * Mom driving me & Elijah to his 1 week appointment * getting custard from Ted Drewe's *
**Some of you may know that I have a random thing for numbers. Like noticing when it's 12:34 or wanting my son's birthday to be 3.1.13 ;0) So on that note, I was 30 when I had Elijah...my Mom was just about 30 when she had me & Rach. AND, Brie is just over FOUR, Elijah is THREE weeks and Alex is almost TWO.**

No way! Your mom and my mom have the same birthday-- the EXACT same birthday! My mom turned 60 on Thursday, too! :)
